Bastyr IMO seems to be the best because it focuses on learning, discovering, and teaching well proven scientific modalities. Whereas the other schools talk alot about philosophy and the spirit and what not. That\'s not a bad thing, but being scientifically proven means that you have REAL solid evidence behind it, and it\'s evidence everyone can see.
Not just some wishy washy thing, like Chiropractic where some schools preach subluxations are going to kill everyone because of nerve pinches and what not. Although I am not ratting on Chiropractors, since I do see one for lower back pain, and it\'s great for that. I just have a harder time believing that some chiropractors from the more traditional schools believe they can cure everything with chiropractic when alot of the times there will be no coorlation. It\'s even been proven that you can teach monkeys to do Chiropractic.
I perfer natural medicine over traditional where they usually only rely on drugs (that can cause even more harm and could potentially make you worse)
Bastyr seems to be the most scientifically focused Naturopathic school out there, and that\'s something that is important. Because you don\'t want to feed your paitents that prayer will solve all (although it doesn\'t help to pray, but unless a miracle occurs, they need real treatment)
They\'re also the most backed by the government in terms of funding. And I believe their clinic is partially covered by the government as well.
Most traditional Naturopathic schools are more spritual based I would say, they don\'t focus so much on the scientific evidence but on some wishy washy things. This is the main reason MDs REALLY dislike NDs, because alot of the NDs who graduate from more traditional schools aren\'t always \'there\' in terms of properly treating paitents, because they believe \'spritual\' modalities will always cure a paitent. Not sure if that\'s 100% true, but it sesms to hold some truth as I visited the various campsus.
SCNM isn\'t bad it seems to be a blend, leaning alot more towards the scientific approach though.
