The flip side to what is not \"rocket science\" , generally, is to give a pharmaceutical bandage to mask the deep-seated health problem or carve it away. If the majority of the population would modify their diets and life-styles as nutrition clinicians advise, very few people would need an M.D. or an N.D. The one advantage that N.D.\'s have over non-physicians is that they can diagnose the problem. Unfortunately, this currently overpriced education leaves most N.D. graduates in a debt the size of a mortgage and inadequate income to retire it within a short time. Seems to me, also, that many N.D.\'s need to supplement their income just to make the school loan payments. This should not be. Naturopathic medicine is excellent alternative medicine. In about 15 years, all states will license naturopathic physicians and Medicare and private insurance will pay for their services. As a cancer patient, I support naturopathic medicine with a passion. Yet, I want allopathic medicine to be available if and when I need it as well.
