After a tedious elimination diet for yeast overgrowth, and expensive supplements, I realized the ND had guessed at a diagnosis (which she said she wasn\'t legally allowed to give), and just like an MD, tried to treat symptoms. I could have done that on my own, from the myriad books, even magazine articles, web sites, and NDs giving advice on Craigs list.
