NDs may be suggesting what is written in a book, but who is the book written by? An ND, Herbalist, Acupuncturist, an MD who also used Natural Therapies? Also, the ND has the training to know how to use what is written in the book properly over the average person reading it. I plan to study Natural Therapies and currently have many books and a few magazines, but because it tells me what essential oils can be used to treat a cold, eczema, etc, doesn\'t mean that I know how to use them properly or as well as one who is trained in Aromatherapy. So, although an ND may be suggesting something the patient could have read, the patient doesn\'t know how to do it properly and the ND can guide them on doing it the right way, like any other kind of teacher. Isn\'t that what an ND is suppose to do, teach others how to use the bodies own natural healing to stay healthy? They just shouldn\'t charge so much to do it.
