I read alot of posts that are against distance learning. I am wondering if those against it, feel any differently towards those who do distance learning programs that take 3-4 years to complete. I am looking at programs that take that amount of time to complete. Then you have to set up a 1000 hour clinical portion to do with local NDs. Are these programs also bad in the eyes of those who look down on distance learning. Some of us can only do distance learning programs. I am working part time and raise 3 kids full time who are young, which leaves me no time to go to school full-time. As well, distance learning is a much better cost for me.
As I said, I am looking at a few programs which are 3-4 years and are distance and then require a 1000 hour clinical in order to graduate.
I don\'t agree that there should be schools out there that teach a program in 6 months or just pay and get a diploma stating you are an ND, however if the distance program is going to take 3-4 years (and these are schools that offer the program as either full-time or distance) then they are the same, you just need to get your clinical with an ND near you.
