In my state, mail-order NDs were posing as Bastyr grads, Bastyr grads were saying licensing was coming in the near future, when in fact, that was not the case. At the holistic school I went to, I heard many stories of bad experiences with NDs. What is frightening is the fact that there are not that many NDs out there. The ethical ones have to worry about their own careers so it is unlikely that they will go to bat for patients harmed by their colleagues lest the Dept. of Consumer Affairs sends an investigator to their office.
