Clots, Nodules, Atelectasis!!

I Have recently had Bi-lateral Pulmonary Emboli (clots in the lungs) They have since Dissolved. However in the last two weeks I have found myself in emergency, with alot of chest pain. They have done a ct scan, and it states that I have a 6mm nodule. The plan is to do another ct in 5 months to see if if has grown. It also states that I have thickening and Atelectasis, which means part of my lung is collapsed or not getting enough oxygen. I\'m only 21, and have smoked 10-15 cigarettes a day for the last 7 Years. This has scared me enough, I have quit! My doctor tells me that sometimes these nodules are nothing, and can just be a scar from when you are young with the cold. If any one has some input on any of this that would be great.....
