Let's OBJECTIVELY look at this Naturopathic

Just wanted to clear a few things up Micah. I have the NCNM catalog in front of me. They do not offer any courses in Auyervedic or acupuncture. And while their students do learn chinese medicine I doubt you will find one who claims he knows as much about the subject as a doctor of OM. They do however learn a great deal. I have persoanlly seen many doctors practice types of medicine they should not. My step mom's DC is always trying to sell her "herbal fomulas" he has concocted. Is he a master herbalist? I doubt it. Secondly...about the CNME. They have not yet been refused their accrediting status. They is still under consideration and the secretary of education has yet to rule on the matter. But I'm not worried....we all know how wise and brilliant the feds are. And for what it's worth all of the schools who teach naturpathic medicine have already gained accredited status with other organizations recognized by the federal government. Whether the CNME survies or not is almost irrelevant. I do agree with you about licensing...it is needed. I often wonder somthing.....if tomorow, all of the four year school ND's decided to call themselves, say....Holistic doctors (HD) Would coorespondence school HD's suddenly spring up in unregulated states? Would clayton offer a degree in HD? It's something to think about. And thanks for the saying something about allopathic medicine. It is something that MUST be learned no matter what field of medicine one enters. Stephen
