Posted by Elaine on 10/30/03 at 07:40 AMYes!I\'m 23 I am someone who has survived this disease, when everyone thought I wouldn\'t.I had acute pancreatitus caused by a travelling gall stone I\'m from Ireland and when my condition was stabalised I was moved to a hospital in dublin where one of the worlds best pancreatic surgeons opperated on me.I have to admit its a slow recovery (I spent 3 1/2 months in hosp 2 in intensive care)but there definately is hope.Good luck
