Re: ND\\\'s in California??

I had considered ND school, but after going to NDs for 5-6 yrs, one great one, one horrific one, I\'m starting to believe that for the overall investment in education (which does not seem thorough enough to claim primary care provider status), and the risk of practicing in an unlicensed state, it\'s just not worth it. Can one do the same Dx and Tx legally by being a nutritionist, cognitive therapist, MD with whole foods nutrition training, etc? Another problem is the mind-body connection issue. This inevitably leads to addressing psychological issues, and I know from my experience that NDs are not (cannot be) thoroughly trained in counselling. They need to refer out. It\'s a catch-22 as MDs many times don\'t see this connection (for instance with colitis). How many MDs are willing to really work with NDs?
