Posted by Kay on 07/14/02 at 06:45 PMHi.I myself have not had pancreatitus but this is my husbands third week in the hospital suffering with the desease.he is being fed by i.v. his pancreas is more than 60% damaged and he will probably be a needle diabetic when he recovers.he has at least another week on the i. v. and then they will do a cat scan and depending on the outcome he will have a tube inserted into the pancreas to drain some of the fluid build up.the bottom line for him is to have his pancreas removed. I hope it dosen\'t come to that because he has already suffered so much pain it breakes my heart to see him endure more misery.If anyone out there has had their pancreas removed,would you share the procedure and recovery with my husband and I? take care and God bless
