I am a 48 yr male and found out I have pancreatitus. At time the pain is so servere it seems I don\'t want to go on, My doctor prescribed Norco 2x a day for pain, but doesn\'t seem to help and either does 1mg of Xanax a day help with the anxiety. I have no health insurance and with the pain work is almost impossible. I have applied to to the public sector for help, but because I made to much in the prior year and this is almost November of the 2003 I still don\'t qualify for public health assistance. I am so scared about dying with this , it seems living with the pain and not being able to afford treatment or medicine is creating so much anxiety I wonder if life is worth going on. I have a wonderful finance but seems all could leave her is a ss death benefit. It hurts to reach out and even talk about this. Sometimes I think I should just break away from her and spare her the agony and pain I go through. It seems I am caught in a beauacratic black hole and no where to go and no one to help. Would appreciate if anyone knows of any assistance out there. I have tried to enter testing centers ect. Not sure how to deal with this.
