In any type of medicine (or law, or auto repair, or...) some practioners will be better than others, regardless of where they recieved their training.
At Bastyr, all the basic sciences faculty have doctorates in or closely related to the subjects they teach. Most of the clinical instructors are ND\'s or MD\'s (there are a few Chiropractors). Currently, most states don\'t recognize specialties within naturopathic medicine, so there is no accrediting board for say naturopathic cadiologists or pediatricians. Hopefully this will change in the future.
Bastyr is accredited by the accredidation body for Northwest schools, as well as by the national accrediting body (CNME). The CNME lost their status with the DOE but is still recognized as the official accrediting body for the \"residential\" naturopathic medical schools.
be well,
K.
