My current shunt is not working either. It is a lumbar shunt and isn\'t programable. My physician is wanting to do a brain shunt, but I am just so leary of that. I am a nurse, but it still freaks me out to be totally honest. Let me know what you find out. I have had to have my lumbar shunt replaced three times already, so I am afraid my only remaining option is the brain shunt. Write me anytime.
