Yes, I have a lumbar shunt, that was put into my lower back about 2 years ago. It has been replaced three times, due to problems with it crimping or not working properly. My dr. is suggesting I have a brain shunt this time. I am concerned about this procedure. I was overweight when I was originally diagnosed with pseudo tumor cerebri, but siince the diagnosis, I had gastric bypass surgery and I now weigh 160 pounds. My doctor was hoping the problem would go away with weight loss, but actually, if anything, it has gotten worse. How long was the hospital stay, did they shave her head, was it painful, are there complications after surgery? If you don\'t mind, please email me and let me know. Thanks, Leeanne
