In April of 2003, I had open gastric bypass surgery in hopes that it would cure my issues with PTC. I am 3 years post op, am 5 ft 8 in tall, and weight 130 lbs. I am still having problems with the PTC. So if your dr. says it will be cured with weightloss, that is not always the case. If any of you would like any information, maybe I can help.
