It was such a relief to find I was not the only person who had such a terrible experience stopping my Effexor treatment. After meeting with a former doctor yesterday, he told me he had heard many horror stories from other patients having similar experiences. A different doctor weaned me off Effexor, and the side effects were awful. For seven to ten days, I had a headache, was nauseous, dizzy, unable to concentrate on anything, unable to work at my job efficiently, a few days unable to drive, just very sick. Mentally - a trainwreck, as though I had no control over my body and mind. I cried over nothing, and wanted to sleep forever. During that time, it was the only logical thought. Sleep. If a class-action lawsuit is what it takes to get the attention of the FDA and if it will help others to not have the same experiences, and possibly even save lives, then I\'m all for it.
