Posted by lyn on 11/26/04 at 08:46 PMbeen on effexor xr for 4 years for anxiety and mild depression. tried to get off them before, but couldn\'t cope. was on 75mg, dr. suggested 37.5mg for one day, 2omg prozac the next, for 1 week. then 7 days of prozac then stop. on my 3rd day of prozac. have a bit of dizziness, but not too bad. hope that when i stop, i feel ok. i have read that prozac is the way to go if you want to help with the withdrawal of effexor. good luck to everyone. i will let you all know in a week how im doing.
