Now, I too have had a good experience on Effexor, however, the weight gain is 50lbs and it\'s not something I am happy with. Therefore, I have taken myself off. The withdrawal symptoms just made me realise that coming off effexor was the right thing to do. C\'mon, really what are we putting in our body if once you stop taking this med, whether you wean yourself off or stop all together ... you go through terrible withdrawal symptoms. I have weaned myself down from 150mg a day to 75mg to nothing. I have terrible nightmares, upset stomach (non stop) dizziness, uncontrollable crying. One minutes laughing and during the laugh turning into crying. And am more uptight than ever. What are we putting in our bodies if when we take it away our body does this to us??
