effexor and weight gain/withdrawals

I didn\'t see the message I last wrote so I am trying again. Yes, I gained about 50 lbs. and especially around my abdomen. Last summer I tried to quit, but withdrawals made me quickly go for another subscription. I am currently taking 75 mg. every other day and do fine, but it doesn\'t help the weight gain so I want to quit entirely again. I am waiting for summer school to end (I\'m a teacher) so I can have some time before school starts again to get over them. Any advice?
