Shawna: Have you found anything that has helped you? I took 75mgs a day for about 1 1/2 years, and decided it was time to stop. I called my Dr. and he prescribed 37.5mgs once a day for 2 weeks. I did fine while on that even though it was a lesser dose, but this is day 5 of no effexor, and I think I am losing my mind. Do you have the sensation in your head when you move your eyes right and left like your brain is \"shorting out\" and you can hear a noise? I can hear like zzzt - zzzt - zzzt when I do this, and it makes me about half sick to my stomach. I also cry about everything, and then I\'m alright all of the sudden. I\'ve been doing alot of research on this, and some think that this medicine is causing permanent changes in the brain, since many are experiencing the symptoms several weeks and even months after they have stopped taking it. I just don\'t know what to do. I called my Dr. and he wants me to go back on it for a little while longer and ween myself off it again, but I have read that weening yourself off isn\'t necessarily helping either. Please let me know if you have found anything to help you!!
