Hi Lisa: gosh, the more I read about effexor and the withdrawals the more mad I get! I too am getting off of it after about 2 years on 150mg. I have gained at least 50lbs and feel so much worse than before I started taking it. I too felt crazy, like it was all in my head. Come to find out this drug is horrible! I hope you are able to find something that you can take without all the bad side effects. I started taking effexor for general anxiety because my doctor thought I should. Helped for awhile but have not been myself for at least a year now. anyway, I am doing a lot of research on a more homeopathic approach to helping with the anxiety. I was doing accupuncture before and it helped and I know there is other stuff out there too I can do. Good luck and you are welcome to write to me if you wish.
