I have been on effexor for almost 5 years (275 mg) and if I run out for one day...wow, the symptoms are aweful. Heart palpitations, dizziness, nausea, irritable bowel, you name it, it\'s there. After reading these replies I also wonder if I am experiencing some liver problems. Last fall I was tested for high cortisol levels and results showed up triple the amount that a person should have in their system. Doctors ruled out tumors on the liver and then dropped me like a hot potato, not giving me a clue how to take care of this. After 5 years of effexor, my body has to be crying out somehow. Please any advice and support would be greatly appreciated.
