This web-site has been an emotional life saver. As I am reading this, I am so thank-ful that I am not alone but so tearful because we are going through this. I too wanted to go off Effexor due to weight gain (I had gastric by-pass surgery to take the weight off and no drug was going to put it back on). My doctor told me that going on Wellbutrin would allow me to stop the Effoxor cold turkey.....how wrong she was. I will seriously consider any drug....ever. This withdrawal is horrible, how do I coach my daughter\'s little league team and lead her girl scout troop when I cannot stand to be in my own skin??? HELP!!!! I am on my 4th day without Effexor...I hope the days to come are better.
