Kevin D - your symptoms sound like mine. I\'m diabetic, 32 yr. old and was mildly depressed, I guess, due to work stress/trauma and finally succumbed to the suggestion of going on something (Effexor) to try it. I worked myself onto it and was taking 75mg for about three months when I realized that a) I didn\'t feel any better mentally and, b) I had no desire to do anything other than sleep.

After talking with my doctor, we agreed on a process of weaning myself off of the drug. I knew what to expect because, like the moron/adventurer I am, I had tried to quit cold-turkey prior to talking to her. Bad scene.

Now I\'m dealing with the same things as those two days, but on an ever so slightly milder scale. Problems include: 1) Vertigo, coming and going with no consistency 2) Heart flutters, coming and going with no consistency 3) Mood swings, but these seem to be toning down 4) Utter depression, something I\'d never had prior to going on the drug

I never would have even begun taking the drug had I been told about this stuff and, well, shame on me for doing my research too late.

Best wishes, SK
