I have been on other anti-depressents in the past. Overall, I have been doing okay but in the past month major depression & anxiety has hit with a vengence.

I am no longer seeing the doctor who prescribed the damn Effexor. My current doctor, whom I trust more then the Effexor doctor, wants to wean me off it slowly. Afterwards, she wants to start me on a fairly new antidepressent which I have never heard of.

Of course, I can\'t start the new med until I have been fully tappered of Effexor. The new medication is called: Cimbalta.

Cimbalta is made by Elly lilly, these drug co.make so much money.This is what the home page says:

Cymbalta helps restore both serotonin and norepinephrine. By addressing both, Cymbalta effectively relieves a broad range of depression symptoms.

So, this is great! I am already deeply depressed, bairly functioning and having anxiety. so, what is the cure? Withdrawing from Effexor so, I can feel physically sick, more anxious, and more depressed. Then a new pill, which has no gurantees! Can\'t wait!

Since, I am just beginning to taper, what should I expect the first few days?
