Thank you! To everyone. I went to google this morning and looked up effexor withdrawal. The wealth of information you all have provided has given me courage. I have been on this crap for a year, rx\'s for IBS and mild anxiety. Now, today, looking back on the year, I can see how my mood swings and myriad difficulties have been a result of this drug. I am in the midst of zap city, having decided to hole up for the long holiday and go through detox in my bathrobe. I was told by a pharmacist I called to expect discomfort for 2-3 days! Now I know I am in for a longer haul, but refuse to put any more of this in my body. I will deal with the symptoms. I have bargained with myself that I will look at this from a clinical perspective. That no matter what I feel or experience, it is not me, it is this drug. Heh, another great tip....turn off the Thorn Birds! While uncontrollably crying at this sappy chick flick, I realized that I am going to have to control my surroundings to control the emotions that are trying to control me because of a drug that is controlling EVERYTHING! I too am extremely unhappy with the lack of information provided to me before being given this drug. If a class action happens, put me on the list! Thank you again everyone for being there for one another and helping us all remember we are not crazy, just involuntary drug addicts. Happy DT\'s!!!!
