You could try Bach Flower essences. Start with Rescue Remedy, available at any health food store. Go to the library and get a book on Bach Flower essences to get an understanding on this gentle, and very effective approach and consider finding a trained practitioner in your area to consult with. It can really help relieve symptoms. Homeopathy has also been very helpful for me in dealing with depression. It\'s long-term approach, but worth looking into (find an experienced homeopath). In states of depression I also want to just stay home (it feels safe). I try to make the time at home healing by avoiding TV, etc. and creating a relaxing and supportive environment through music choices and inspirational reading (or anything that I can keep my mind on). Sleep, stay warm, make a pot of good soup, get a little exercise. Sometimes the universe is just telling us to take care of ourselves. I\'d like to hear if Rescue Remedy helps as has for me. Take care.
