I have been taking effexor off and on for as long as it has been on the market. It seems to be the only anti-depressant to give me any help and relief at all. However, it is as addictive as it is expensive. Every time I have stopped taking it was due to its cost, not its effects. I have tried every possible way to ease off of it and the results are always the same. My head feels like a stopped up toothpaste tube that gets squeezed real hard every now and then and a whoosh goes through my whole body. I can also feel my pulse in my brain. Fun...fun. Not really. When I first started taking it my doctor said I would have to take it for the rest of my life....he wasn\'t kidding. I just wish I was independently wealthy so I didn\'t have to deal with this. I\'ll get off my soapbox now, thanks for listening, and good luck. Oh yea, the side effects do go away but the depression always replaces them.
