Ack... it is difficult to get off Effexor. I would say I\'m in the end stages of trying to get completely off of it... I was taking 150mg for a short time, the back to 75mg 4 weeks, and then down to 37.5 for a couple of weeks, and then slowly each day I broke open the rest of the 37.5 capsules I had, and poured a little more out each day... so I was taking less and less. Now i\'m down to probably 10mg est every two to three days, but I cannot just quit taking it. This is what I\'m experiencing if I try to stop taking it:

headaches, feel like I\'m going to have a seisure, if I move my eyes (not head just eyes) far left or right, I get a rushing sensation in my ears like blood is rusing by, and my eyes almost feel like they\'re doing a double or tripple take on what I\'m looking at, when it\'s really bad I can\'t drive.

Has anyone else had similar situations? I tried to take myself off of it too quickly the first time, so that\'s why I\'ve been weaning myself off more slowly this time. I hate feeling that I NEED to take something like this, something that give me these scary side effects and I cannot live without. :( Hang in there everyone!
