Okay, this is the case...I just had a full blood screening with my GP because of 70 lbs weight gain in 4 years (I had twins, gained 50 lbs with the pregnancy, lost it immediately after and started Effexor shortly after -- [paxil first at 12 mos post partum ) anyway - they tested my liver function, thyroid function, kidney function, Cholesterol, blood sugar etc... everything normal- but I\'ve been having hot flashes 24-7, I wake up in the am soaking wet from my chin to my chest, and I\'m huge (all around the belly). Acid Reflux just started in the last 6 months or so, but I\'m thinking it\'s because I\'m so fat. Anyway, I\'m weaning now with the help of my Psych. I\'m at the top dose. He\'s taking me down to 1/2 in the next few weeks and wants to wait until spring to drop the balance. Hey - all I can say is after missing a dose or two, I\'m in no hurry to go cold turkey. Vertigo, nausea forget it. I\'ll take my time. Good luck!
