It was awful; my doctor also told me to stop cold turkey, after being on Effexor XR for over a year, at 150mgs./day for menapouse symptoms. Extreme vomiting, nausea, severe headache, shaking, dizzy, out of it...Horrible; am numb this morning and still not well; not sure how long this will last. Hope you\'re doing well now. Michelle
