Posted by Janet on 09/22/04 at 05:12 PMI started Effexor 4 months ago.I uncreased to 225 mg and started sweating horribly too. I also get hot flushes.Can\'t sleep.Constantly hungry. Gained 20 lbs. I must say though it has helped tremendously with my dystimia. Prozac wasn\'t helping anymore, Paxil\'s withdrawal sympstoms were bad. I just went to my Psychiatrist today and said that it was an unusual side effect(?) He sugested to go see my OB/Gyn to check if I am peri-menopausal (I am 46)
