I took 150mg of Effexor for a year to a year and a half. While I was on it everything was fine, but if I missed a dose or two I would feel like hell. I would have the \"head shocks\" where I could feel it down in the tips of my fingers. Once I was able to get a dose in, I would feel normal after a few hours. After time went on I started to have slight head shocks while I was still taking it. I have been off of it now for several months now, but still have head shocks on occassion. When I was trying to get off of it, I had the worst head shocks, and shakes I had ever experienced. I also experienced vomitting that seem to be brought on by the head shocks. The withdraw I suffered from while going off this drug prevented me from doing my duties at work, because I could not think straight. It felt like I was wakening from a blackout but never could clear my head. In fact I hardly even remember being at work during this time.
