Posted by Tabitha on 05/13/06 at 05:28 PMI went to another dr after being put on Effexor XR at 450mg/day (definite overdose) after finding out what was going on, my dr gave me an anti-nausea (i could hold nothing down, at all) and a VERY small dose of Xanax.. that\'s it. Other than that, I had to rest and wait. For me, I went through withdrawl for about 2 months in total. and that included being tappered down on it. It was a very difficult thing to do, but now, I am grateful to be off the Effexor..
