I had hives for a little over a month, visited the hospital twice for swelling of the lips and eyes-very scary, and eventually was given a prescription for Prednisone. This helped to clear the hives up- at that point they were covering my body from my neck down. Since the Prednisone I have had the odd hive hear and there and they seem to go away almost as quickly as they come. I also get itchy hands, feet and scalp. My allergist gave me a prescription for Atarax and something else but I haven\'t felt the need to take anything just yet. I\'m hoping that it will continue to get better, as the itching does seem to be subsiding. It was so comforting to find this web site and to read all of your stories. I\'ve been thinking that there was something seriously wrong with me-and I also like being able to put a name to what I\'ve been suffering with. No one I\'ve seen so far has been able to provide me with as much information and reassurance as I\'ve gained from this source. I\'m hoping the tests I\'ve had done will be able to shed some light for me. Good luck to all of you in figuring out what triggers your hives.Bloody horrible things. Oh ya does anyone ever experience a sort of tickling sensation on their skin? It almost feels like the hairs on my arms are gently being tugged down by something under my skin? Please tell me someone can relate to this!!!
