Re: something helped my dizziness!!

I was taking 75mg of Effexor daily for about 14 months and it helped me a great deal. Recently, I ran out of my prescription and it took a couple of weeks for me to get back to the doctor to get a new one. During this time I became very ill. Within 48 house of going off the Effexor, I was couch ridden due to severe dizziness, headaches, nausea, and chest pain. I also had severe anxiety and felt so irritable I could barely get through the day. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with an acute onset of Vertigo said to be brought on by a viral infection. I was prescribed anti vert, which helped only slightly. I had blood work done and all of it was totally normal. Soon after, I was back on my Effexor and the doseage was increased to 150mg daily. I felt fine until the day I went off of it again due to relocating and changing physicians. The same symptoms returned but now I was having delusional nightmares and I kept seeing things out of the corner of my eye - that weren\'t there! Whenever I moved my head things would spin. It was awful! Luckily, I made the connection to the last time I went off the Effexor and I diagnosed myself with Effexor withdrawl. As soon as I started taking the Effexor again my symptoms disappeared. Unfortunately, none of my physicians ever warned me of the withdrawl symptoms. I spent unnecessary time and money at the doctor when it was all b/c I went off of the Effexor. I still can\'t believe physicians don\'t warn patients of this very significant information !
