I took effexor for about a year to deal with anxiety & paic attacks. I recently felt ready to get off of it for good. The last month of withdrawl has been the worst time in my entire life. I have never been so sick. the withdrawl symptoms even after tapering for several days were so severe. It has been a month of being effexor free and still have moments of nausea and feeling motion sick in doing the simplest of physical activities. I still get occasional brain zaps and muscle zaps. I am angry and feel that I would never have gone on this drug if I had the slightest idea of what was down the road. I really feel like I was mislead by the doctors and pharm. company and that the medic was just doled out like it was aspirin. Effexor is poison and should be taken off the market.
