This is an update to my previous post. I got off this crap with almost no withdrawel symptoms, if you can believe it. Let me tell you, it is hard to do. I had already tried everything I knew to try and couldn\'t get off of it. It has caused serious health problems for me. In order to get off it I got a prescription for capsules and for nearly two months I opened the capsule everyday and dumped a little more out each time, until I only had a few granules left. I tried to quit then but still had the really wierd eye movement thing happen. By chance my rheumatologist gave me some percocet for pain. The pain may be from this too, by the way. I found that if I took one pain pill in the morning and one at night I had absolutely no withdrawal symptoms. Keep in mind, I was down to about 20mgs of the crap, anyway. For two weeks I took the pain meds. After that I had no more problems with withdrawals and it has been a month, now. Also, the joint pain is better now that I am off the effexor... go figure. Anyway, I hope this helps because I have never seen anything as bad as effexor when it comes to addiction, and I have worked with drug addicts in counseling before. Email me if you need to talk. I know how it is. Darrel
