I too am struggling with trying to get off of Effexor. While I am on the drug I experience side effects such as chest pains and headaches, but when I try to get off of it, I experience heroin-like withdrawal: skin-crawling, hysterical, so dizzy I can\'t walk, etc. No, this was not anywhere in the literature that the company provided to the customers. The FDA is now in the process of having them revise the labeling on this drug to include a mention of these withdrawal effects. You can read the new label at www.fda.gov. A lot of good that does us! I\'m fighting mad! Of course Wyeth knew about this, and they should pay for it.
