I was put on Effexor XR for migraines which lasted 6 months due to sexual side affects. Coming off was horrible. Even though I gradually tapered off according to manufacturer instructions I had electric shock sensations, loud buzzing in my head, and insomnia. Two months later I still have parathesia which is tingling in my face and body at times. They have done tests. Nothing else is wrong. The Effexor caused this. They wanted me to go back on it and taper more gradually. I refused. Do not take another pill. I think it could be a dangerous drug that is not properly studied. Let me know how you are doing.
