Posted by beth on 08/28/05 at 07:09 PMI was put on Effexor after experiencing hot flashes as a result of Tamoxafen. It indeed helped the hot flashes and made me a much more \"mellow\" person. Now I have completed my 5 years of Tamoxafen and decided I no longer need the Effexor---what a shock. I was only taking 37.5mg a day and have been miserable trying to come off. It is day 3 and I have some the same dizziness, insomnia, and \"crankiness\" as described by others. All I want to do is be drug-free. Any advice would be appreciated.
