I feel so bad for you because i also stopped taking Effexor cold turkey and I know how the withdrawals feel. It has been almost 4 years since I got off of Effexor. I only took it for 6 months and I had to stop because I could not stand the side effects. For a WHOLE MONTH I had to take a leave of absense from my job and eventually ended up needing to quit because of the withdrawals and the time I needed to take off. I had some MAJOR vertigo and vomitting. I was in bed for the whole month, sick as a dog and suicidal on top of it. I complained to my Dr. who dismissed me from his care after saying I would never \'get well\' if I didn\'t stay on Effexor. I still have a weak stomach, which I think is due to Effexor, and I still feel the vertigo. If anybody knows of a class action suit, please email me. This is why I was searching the web and just happened to come across this site. Good luck to anybody out there on that stuff or trying to get off of it. The withdrawals have been compared to that of heroin!
