Yes...things really do get better. I have been off of Effexor for about 9 months now. There was a time when I thought I would never get through the hell! I started coming off at about the end of February and finally took a leave from work in April. It took me a good 3 months to get through the sickness and mental breakdown shit, till I finally began to climb back out of the black hole that Effexor put me in. I wish I had better news...but I am not one to sugar coat things. I wish someone would have laid it on the line for me so that I knew what I would have been in for...but it was all just a huge slap in the face.

Anyhow the good news is, that I did get through it, by the grace of God, and am now I am pretty much back to my old self. But believe me...reading these threads takes me right back there and I remember very well how hellish it is.
