Posted by Veronica Santiago on 05/19/02 at 06:04 PMMy 4 1/2 year old son fell and hit his tooth when he was younger and eventually it got dark. I took him for his first cleaning and the dentist said everything was fine and that there was no infection. He referred me to a pediatric dentist to fill a cavity and she said that he would need his tooth pulled because he has developed an abcess. Is there any other alternative? Can\'t he take antibiotics to clear up the infection or is there a home remedy suitable for children?
