to all who have had abcesses: i too have one under a crown back tooth & that has lasted over a week it suddenly flared up a few days after having my teeth cleaned (\"hum\"). it has really been bad, i have experienced flue like symtoms not to metion the throbbing pain, and now it seems to be spreading around now, i have been taking penicilin but it is slow; i live in fear that if i do now get my growned tooth pulled instead of vacumned, which cost nearly a thousand dollars, that it might spread into my brain that i have heard, or sit somewhere else and never really go away, is this true? i don\'t think i will ever have a root canal done ever again! carol in Michigan
