Posted by charles f cormack on 02/10/05 at 11:01 AMi was at the dentists and had a tooth extracted on tues 8/2/05 i had to stop the dentist twice because of the pain, then given another shot this froze part of the gum, but not the immediate area around the tooth after much pain the tooth came out and it was discovered i had an abcess. does an abcess stop the immediate area from becoming numbed?
