I had serious pimples while nursing. Anyway, I was put on an antibiotic 2 times a day for a few months and then weaned down to 1 time a day to total 9 months of antibiotics. I was able to discontinue them and continue with the Metrolotion and have not had zits ever since that time. Good Luck
