THE POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM: ANTI_BACTERIAL LIQUID SOAP AND/OR ANTI_BACTERIAL HAND SANITIZER I have this problem also and I might have the answer. A few years ago I started woking in a pet store in the bird department, this is when it very first appeared. it started on my right hand on my index and second finger. Because I usually held the birds on that hand I though maybe the feces on their feet was doing it. Any doctor I went to just said yeh that would do it and that was it. I eventually stopped working at the pet store and worked in a cosmetics factory, but I still had it and it was slowly getting worse and spreading to the next hand. I one day figured it was soap that was doing it, but not just any soap, liquid anti-bacterial hand soap and/or hand sanitizer. I used both at the pet store and the factory had the soap in there washroom. So I started carrying a bar of my own soap with me to work and it slowly stopped. The only time I get it now is if I go to a fast food restaurant and my hands are a little to bad for just a water rinse, so I deal with it coming the next day and lasting for about 2 weeks. During the healing about 1 week after it starts my hands are extremely dry and will swell slightly and split at my joints especially if there was a large cluster there. Hope this helps everybody with this problem.
