I have suffered from eczema for many years and have tried everyhing. Here are some treatments that have worked for me. If you have health insurance I reccomend getting a prescription for Fluocinole ointment. If you can\'t get your hands on a prescription get hydrocortisone 1% OINTMENT, not cream. You can find it at any drug store. You put the ointment on your hands and then over that you put a generous amount of cream, NOT A LOTION!! I have found Udder Cream to be the best. It has no water in it, but if you can\'t find any try Nivea hand cream. That is the problem with most lotions and some creams, the main ingredient is water and that is what dries our hands out. When you have put generous amounts of Udder cream over the Fluocinole or Hydrocortisone ointment you need to put cotton gloves or cotton socks over your hands. You need to do this at night when you go to bed and right after you get out of the shower because that is when the eczema is at it\'s worst. If it is really bad try doing as I said, but putting latex gloves over the cotton gloves to take a shower to minimize your exposure to water. Do this when doing dishes or anything where your hands will be exposed to water for more than a couple of seconds. If you have a job like I do where you have to wash your hands constantly keep udder cream or something like it in your pocket and every time you wash your hands put the cream on. Remember to look at the ingrediens to see ifwater is the main ingredient, if so don\'t buy it! Also try to do the gloves on your break, even a couple minutes helps. Also try to avoid touching things that have alcohol in them, lotions , sprays etc. Alcohol dries your skin out. Of course, always true but so hard to do, drink more water. If you can drink 8 - 10 glasse of water a day you will see a difference without a doubt. It\'s hard though because then you spend your day in the bathroom!
I hope I have given some good info. It doesn\'t cure ot but it will help.
